A

A factor tree is used to find the prime factors of a number, if a factor tree is done right, the prime factors will always be the same, no matter how you split up the number.

A

A factor pair is a set of numbers that are paired to get a product. They can be used to find the factors of a number.
e.g. 1 x 12, 2 x 6, 3 x 4 are factor pairs of 12, so the factors of 12 are, 1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 12
