An argument used to distract from the main argument by one of the parties in the conversation

An argument that draws its strength from the passion of the argument being made in the hopes of swaying the passions of the hearer

Arguments wither used as a defense when one is unable to argue on merits of a position or used as an offense by making the skewing the opponents arguements in order to make them easier to defeat

A topic that requires specalized knowledge in order to fully engage the topic

An argument that draws on critical thinking and logic to persuade
