Tinnitus

Loss of memory for events after the incident
Retrograde Amnesia
Loss of memory for events taken place before the incident
PEARL
Pupils are Equal And Reactive to Light
Nystagmus
A constant involuntary back & forth, up & down, or rotary movement of the eyeball.
Hyponatremia
Condition where the level of Sodium in your blood is lower than normal. Sodium is an electrolyte, and it helps regulate the amount of water that’s in and around your cells
Syncope
Fainting or passing out. Short loss of consciousness and muscle strength, fast onset, short duration, and spontaneous recovery.
Due to a decrease in blood flow to entire brain usually from low blood pressure
Hyperkalemia
Excessive potassium levels in blood. Potassium is critical for nerve function and M. cells.
Lactic Acidosis
When lactic acid builds up in the bloodstream faster than it can be removed. Lactic acid is produced when oxygen levels in the body drop
Sling psychrometer
Measures the amount of water vapor in the air - aka humidity
Catecholamine
Hormones made by the adrenal glands. These hormones are released into the blood when the body is under physical or emotional stress. Dopamine, norepinephrine, epinephrine (adrenaline). Catecholamines are measured in urine test more than blood tests
Submaximal exercise tests
Evaluate physical working capacity by measuring heart rate increases with exercise
Periostitis
Med condition caused by inflammation of the periosteum. Condition is generally chronic, marked by tenderness & swelling of the bone. Aching pain. Cause from excessive activity as well as with Medial Tibial Stress Syndrome MTSS
Sever’s Disease
Otherwise known as calcaneal apophysitis. Is an inflammation of the growth plate in the heel of growing children, typically adolescents. The condition presents as pain in the heel and is caused by repetitive stress to the heel and is thus particularly common in active children. It usually resolves once the bone has completed growth or activity is lessened
Exostosis
Formation of new bone on the surface of bone
Myopia
Nearsighted, close objects are seen clear, objects far away appear blurred
Hypoxia
Body or region is deprived of adequate oxygen supply
Hypervolemia
Fluid overload, too much fluid in blood
Cyanosis
Appearance of a blue or purple coloration of the skin or mucous membrane due to tissues near the skin surface having low oxygen saturation
Leukoplakia
Thickened, white patches form on gums, inside cheek, bottom of mouth, and sometimes tongue
