Pharmacy
Refer to the label on the immediate container and package and other printed materials that are made available with the veterinary drug and product of the time of purchase or where the veterinary drug and product is used, such as the outer wrapper, cartons, leaflet/package insert accompanying the product, which provide the accurate and necessary detailed information for identification and proper use of the veterinary drug and product
Labelling materials
An instruction written by a veterinary practitioner authorizing a client to be provided a medicine for the treatment of their animal/s. It is piece of paper on which a vet writes the details of the medicine as drugs that the patient needs.
Veterinary prescription
The amount of a medication administered to maintain a desired level of medication in the blood
Maintenance dose
Study of weight and measures as applied to preparation and administration of drugs
Metrology
Study of medicine dosage which varies w/ the species of animal, intended effect of drug & individual tolerance and/or susceptibility
Posology

Deals w/ the effects of various test substance studied on different animal species which is aimed at finding out safe therapeutic agent suitable for public health as well as mechanism and site of action of a test substance
Experimental pharmacology
Refers to any distinctive combination of letters and numbers, assigned to a particular batch herein defined as any product produced during a given cycle of manufacture
Batch number
Application of pharmacokinetic principles to the safe and effective therapeutic management of drugs in an individual patient
Clinical pharmacokinetics
Refer to any substance, including biological products, applied for or administered to food producing, companion, aquatic, laboratory, and exotic animals, whether used for therapeutic, prophylactic, or diagnostics purposes or for modification of physiological functions or behavior
Veterinary drugs and products
Refers to the pharmaceutical form of the preparation based on an official pharmacopeia

Experimental science dealing w/ the properties of drug & their effects on the living system

Refers to proprietary/trade name assigned to the veterinary drugs and products by the veterinary drug and product establishment
Brand name
Branch of pharmacology dealing with drugs that selectively inhibit or destroy specific agents of disease such as bacteria, virus , fungi, and other parasites
Chemotherapy
Quantitative study of drug concentrations in the tissue of the body
Clinical pharmacokinetics
Refer to the statements of conditions under which veterinary drug and product should not be used
Contraindications
The total amount of therapeutic substance that is to be taken within 24 hrs
Daily dose
Refers to a specific substance of combination of substances that would counteract the effect of any undue reaction and overdosage
