Tesla 3 Flashcards
(6 cards)
Name 5 overarching features of the Tesla 3
The Tesla 3 is an all-electric 4-door mid-size sedan. The model 3 standard battery delivers an EPA-rated (US Environment and Protection agency) all electric range of 220 miles, while the long-range battery delivers a 310 mile range.
It has five passenger seating, with sports car levels of acceleration performance of 3.5 seconds 0-60mph time, or 4.8 seconds, this is faster than a BMW M4, which hits 60 in 4+ seconds.
Production began in July 2017 till present, and it is being assembled in Fremont, CA.
Explain the Tesla card key
Teslas come with a “card key”, its a black card that fits in your wallet like any credit card, in the scenario that your phone is off you can open your car door and start the engine with only the card key. Simply raise the card key to the B pillar of the car and the door unlocks (or locks), then once inside the car simply sit your card on the middle area and you have 2 minutes to start driving.
How to start autopilot?
Push the right side lever down 2x and autopilot kicks in.
Explain the all panoramic roof
It’s pretty awesome, its an all glass roof, and delivers an open atmosphere for you and your passengers. Rain tends to leave the roof looking either orange of the different colors of the rainbow. The glass is made to prevent UV light AND heat from entering the cabin of the car and making passengers feel like they’re sitting in an oven on an especially hot day. It has special coating and layers that cause the water droplets to give off cool colors.
Cargo space is plentiful.
There’s cargo space with uddles of clearance in the frunk and trunk of the 3. You have 2 grocery hooks in the frunk The car comes with a charger in a nice Tesla branded package/bag and a front license place and mount. The trunk lift also goes up very high, giving a lot of room. Also since you have no gas tank in your car the trunk also features even more space, with 4 arms deep of space where your tires might have gone in another car.
Design in the 3 is sparse, why?
The design was inspired by Elon, who believed since the 3, and all Teslas, would eventually become primarily self driven there was no need to include speedometers or much of anything else on the dashboard. The touchscreen offers everything needed and voice control is available.
