Modeling
In sculpture, the process of shaping pliable materials such as clay or wax in three-dimensional form. It allows the sculptor to rework the material until satisfied.
Casting
Liquid material is poured into a mold where it hardens into the shape of the mold. Any material that hardens can be used for casting – bronze, brass, plaster, concrete, liquid plastics, silver etc. Casting allows an artist to make a permanent sculpture that has characteristics of soft material.
Lost wax casting
A bronze casting method in which A figure is modeled of wax and clay; the whole is fired, melting away the wax and hardening the clay, which then becomes the mold for molten metal
