Texas and hawiwiw are the only 2 current states that were ever independent republics

US Cuba dispute

U.S.S Maine was sent to Cuba to say hello then they blew up the boat this will cause the US to declare war on spain

90% of soldiers died from yellow fever

war ended due to the treaty of Paris 1898

gained Guam, Philipeans, and Puerto Rico as us territories. Gained Cuba but kept as an independent
Guantanamo bay is a us base in cuba

known as the first modern election

Banks/business love republicans becasue of mckinley spending

voter turn out is massive

populist party is gone only 2% of votes and completely gone in 4-5 years, they will merge to the democrats

A

ensure ww2 will happen only thing he gets in the treaty is the league of nations Germany must be punished severely (paid of debts in 2010) suspend army, publicly announce that they are sorry

1919/1920 the Senate will not ratify bc they felt disrespected and they were scared because if they league of nations wanted to fight they would be pulled into it

effect is that the US will adopt isolationism
