How does the Chorus in Frogs work?
The Chorus is both the animal chorus of singing frogs as well as the chorus of Dionysian initiates. They sing, comment on the events of the play, and express Aristophane’s views on political and social arguments of the day.

Who are the chorus of initiates?
An allusion to bacchants and the Eleusinian Mysteries. important to note that everyone was allowed to join this group.

than Cleophon.” The Chorus asks the people of Athens to restore the rights of citizenship to those whom the oligarchic rulers disenfranchised; in particular, Cleophon.
