In how many days should a new resident apply for a Washington State driver license?
Within 30 days.
How long is a renewed license valid for?
It is valid for up to six years and will expire on your birthday. You can renew up to one year before the expiration date. There will be a reminder mailed to your address six weeks before your license expires.

You are required to pay a late fee if you have failed to renew your license more than 60 days after it has expired.

you must notify the department within 10 days.
what happens if you receive a ticket?
You have 15 days to comply. If you feel to do so, you will receive a notice of suspension which you have 45 days to comply with, or your driving privilege will be revoked. If you comply within 45 days of receiving the notice of suspension, the suspension will not go into effect.
