A
Röhm and the main leaders of the SA were shot by members of the SA
Hitler also settled some old wounds:
- former Chancellor Schleicher was murdered
- Gregor Strasser was murdered ( an old rival)

How many people were murdered in the purge ?
A
Sources vary but it’s estimated around 400 people were murdered in the night of the long knives
