  • Placement: Arises from brain
  • Branches: Opthalmic branch (orbital fissure), mandibular nerve (from oval foramen, then through mandible foramen out from mental), maxillary n. (rostral alar foramen).
  • Dysfunction:

mandibular has four more branches: lingual n. (1) inferior alveolar n. (2) mylohyoid n. (3) buccal n. (4)
