γίγνεται πολλὰ ἐξ ἀλλήλων

He thinks that the stranger is speaking well.
οἴεται τὸν ξένον εὖ λέγειν.
He denies that Zeus is a god
οὔ φησι θεὸν εἶναι τὸν Δία
Do you assert that Zeus is a god?
ἆρα φῂσ θεὸν εἶναι τὸν Δία?
It is necessary for us to do this thing.
χρὴ ἡμᾶς τοῦτο ποιεῖν
We ought not to do this thing.
χρὴ 'μᾶς τοῦτο μὴ ποιεῖν.
It was necessary to have done this thing.
χρῆν τοῦτο ποιῆσαι.
It was (and still is) necessary ti be doing this thing.
χρῆν τοῦτο ποιεῖν.
I shall say things contrary to these things.
ἐναντία τούτων λέξω.
The men opposing the Athenians are not allies to us.
'μῖν σύμμαχοι οὐκ εἰσίν οἱ τῶν Ἀθηναῖων ἐναντίοι.
The bad thing is contrary to the good thing.
τῷ ἀγαθῷ ἐναντίον τὸ κακόν.
