A
The king had killed a lot of the Norwegians and the Norwegians had killed a lot of the Kings army this meant that the Normans had a significant amount more knights to fight

A
It made people frightened and scared that if they stepped out of line they would be punished!

What was the advantages and the disadvantages of the motte and bailey castle?
A
Advantages
It was big to keep high ground, it kept them safe, it’s protected by a moat and it takes two weeks to build.
Disadvantages
Because it’s made of wood it is highly flammable.!
