Q

describe what article 48 was and why did this make the weimar doomed from the start?

A

it meant that the president could suspend constitution in an emergency. He could make laws and keep Chancellor in office without the support of the reichstag. This made the weimar doomed because it completely ruined the democracy of the government and made it very easily changable into a dictatorship as one person could override everyone and make new laws.
