There would be two or three shepherds in charge of these flocks. If a sheep had been lost, the other shepherd would report it to the village, and the whole village would be watching for the lost sheep. The whole community would give a shout of joy and Thanksgiving if the sheep came back alive

The rebellious, poor, broken prodigal son. Called the greatest short story in the world.

The first born was to receive 2/3 of the estate. The youngest only got 1/3 of the estate

The Jewish law forbid them to feed swine

The father was a loving father. Running towards him. In those days, the servant of the father would cast stones at the prodigal son for returning, but the father meet him before this happens to prevent judgment and death.

Still represents as a son and not a servant
