-bishops didn’t pay tax
what to know about knight’s?
-protected lords and fought for the kings. Sons of nobles
-provided security and received income from peasants.
What was knighthood training?
age 7; servant of a knight
age 14; received sacred sword from bishop and became squire
age 21; if they showed bravery would become a knight
what to know about peasants?
-were laborers and farmers
-provided food, supplies and services
-90% of the system
-heavily taxed and paid taxes
-worked long hours on fields with simple tools
-few political rights and some owned lands.
what to know about serfs?
-didn’t have any political rights and didn’t own any land.
