Are those made by legitimate as human authority, such as the laws enacted by the state or the church
Human positive law
Are those that require the performance of an act, like that giving the respect to parents and that paying taxes when due
Affirmative and negative law
Are so called because they are the basis for judging whether an act is good or evil
