➖He paid for many buildings such as a parish church.

Renaissance painting

A

➖Artists began to make pictures more lifelike during the Renaissance. ➖They started to use perspective(size of object against background), sfumato(blending), they added linseed oil to their paint to make it dry slowly.
➖Leonardo da Vinci was born in 1452 in Vinci near Florence.
. ➖His father wanted him to be a layer but he was interested in painting
. ➖He painted the last supper and the Mona Lisa in Milan
. ➖If he saw an interesting face on the street he would draw it.
➖He cut up dead bodies to study the human form.
➖When he wrote in his note books he used mirror writing.
➖The king of France invited Leonardo to France to work for him.
➖He died 3 years later.
