This clearly links to Kubrick’s directorial style, he often uses slow paced, and ambiguous types of sound in a lot of his films. This non dietetic sound is effective at creating a sense of impending doom.

the use of mirrors on the girl’s bodies and the symmetrical way they’re standing links to the rest of the play.
