1. The KIng and Queen asked the Pope for permission to start the inquisition in order to purify Spain from heretics and non believers.
2. They wanted to have power over fake converts just in case they decided to rise above them giving Muslims power.

1. They had tribunals for anyone going against the faith to get confessions for doing so.
2. With people’s confession, their property and wealth was given up to the king and queen, and they were asked to rat someone out.
3. The KIng and Queen got more power and Wealth
4. People were tortured in several ways in order to get a confession out.

1. King and Queen gained money and power
2. Gave less power to the Pope
3. The Pope didn’t lead the faith anymore
4. People were very paranoid.
