Q

What was the result of the 1587 attack?

A

The Spanish had to stop preparing to defend themselves, and caused the armada to be delayed over a year. By 1588 their ships were lower quality than they would have been. this gave england more time to prepare, and was known as the “singeing of the king of spains beard”
