Q

What happened to Kisa Gotami?

A

When she had a child she was filled with happiness, although her son died and she became incredibly sad.

She went around town asking for medicine for her son, although people believed she was crazy as it was evident that her son was dead.

Someone told her to go to the Buddha as he would help. He said knock on every door and for every house that has had no one die in their family they will give you a mustard seed to make the medicine. She realised everyone had a loss in their family and this eased her suffering.
