¿Dónde vives?
Vivo en Harpenden, en el sureste de Inglaterra. Es un pueblo pequeño cerca de Londres. Hay un polideportivo y una piscina y disfruto ir allí. Sin embargo, no hay cines. Ojalá hubiera más locales musicales.
I live in Harpenden, in the south-east of England. It’s a small town close to London. There is a sports centre with a swimming pool, and I enjoy going there. However, there aren’t any cinemas, and I wish there were more music venues.
¿Cómo es tu región?
Mi región es muy verde, hay muchos bosques y campos. Es muy seguro, sin embargo, también es muy aburrido. Ojalá fuera más divertido.
My area is very green, there are many forests and fields. It’s very safe, however, it’s also very boring. I wish it was more fun.
¿Qué harás mañana en tu ciudad?
Mañana en mi ciudad, voy a salir con mi amigo y veremos una película de acción y beberemos jugo de mango. Será muy divertido. Después vamos a comer una pizza en un restaurante italiano. ¡Qué elegante!
Tomorrow in my city, I’m going to go out with my friend and we are going to see an action film and drink mango juice. It will be very fun. Afterwards, we are going to eat pizza in an Italian restaurant. How fancy!
¿Dónde te gustaría vivir en el futuro? ¿Por qué?
En el futuro quiero vivir cerca de la playa porque me gusta el sol, nadar y hacer surf. Me encantaría vivir en España cuando sea mayor porque siempre hace buen tiempo. También sería un sueño hecho realidad si yo fuera músico.
In the future I want to live close to the beach because I like sun, swimming, and surfing. I would love to live in Spain when I’m older because it’s always good weather. Also it would be a dream come true if I was a musician.
¿Cuáles son las ventajas y los inconvenientes de vivir en una ciudad?
Las ventajas de vivir en una ciudad son que hay muchos locales musicales. Además, hay muchos restaurantes donde se puede comer comida interesante. Sin embargo, las desventajas son la contaminación y la gente.
The advantages of being in a city are that there are many music venues. Additionally, there are many restaurants where you can eat interesting food. However, the disadvantages are the pollution and the people.
¿Qué se podría hacer para mejorar tu región?
Me gustaría que hubiera más cosas para los jóvenes y más lugares de música en Harpenden. También me gustaría que hubiera más parques.
I would like there to be more things for young people and more music venues in Harpenden. I would also like there to be more parks.
¿Qué haces en verano normalmente?
Vivimos en Harpenden, en Inglaterra, y nos gusta mucho viajar a Croyde, en Devon, descansar en la playa, y nadar en el mar, pero normalmente, comemos demasiados helados ¡Lo pasamos bomba juntos!
We live in Harpenden, England, and we really like to travel to Croyde, in Devon, relax on the beach, and swim in the sea. We have a great time together! How fun!
¿Adónde fuiste de vacaciones el año pasado? Hablame de las vacaciones.
El verano pasado fui a Croyde con mi familia. Fue genial porque fuimos a surf y tuvimos muchos helados sabrosos.
Last summer I went to Croyde with my family. It was great because we went surfing and had lots of tasty ice creams.
¿Qué hiciste? Qué fue lo mejor y lo peor de tus vacaciones el año pasado?
Nosotros descansamos y leí libros en la playa, y nadé en el mar cuando hacía demasiado calor. Es nuestro lugar favorito en el mundo. ¡Sin embargo, me rompí el brazo!
We rested and read books on the beach, and I swam in the sea when it was too hot. It’s our favorite place in the world.
¿Te gustan las vacaciones en el extranjero?
Sí, me flipa vacaciones en el extranjero, sin embargo solo he estado en el extranjero una vez, fue a los Estados Unidos.
Yes, I love holidays abroad, however I have only been abroad once, it was to the United States.
¿Probaste la comida típica?
Sí, la comida típica de los Estados Unidos fue sabrosa. Comimos panqueques con jarabe en IHOP!
Yes, the typical food from the United States was tasty. We ate pancakes with syrup at IHOP!
¿Hubo algún problema durante tus vacaciones?
Sí, desafortunadamente, el aeropuerto perdió la maleta de mi padre, así que tuvo que comprar ropa nueva, pero se veía estúpido, así que valió la pena.
Yes, unfortunately, the airport lost my father’s suitcase, so he had to buy new clothes, but he looked silly, so it was worth it.

El hotel estaba bien, las camas estaban cómodas así que dormimos como troncos. Sin embargo, lo mejor fue la ducha de lujo.
The hotel was good, the beds were comfortable so we slept like logs. However, the best part was the luxury shower.
¿Qué vas a hacer en tus próximas vacaciones?
Por mis próximas vacaciones, voy a viajar con mi familia a Barcelona, y me siento muy emocionado dado que está al lado de la costa y hay mucho sol, la combinación perfecta!
For my next holiday, I am going to travel with my family to Barcelona, and I feel very excited since it is by the coast and there is a lot of sun, the perfect combination!
Si el dinero no fuera un problema, ¿dónde irías de vacaciones?
¡Qué divertido! Las vacaciones de mis sueños serían que viajaría a California, viviría en un autobús VW, y haría surf en todas las costas.
How fun! My dream holiday would be to travel to California, live in a VW bus, and surf on all the coasts.
Háblame de tus asignaturas. ¿Qué asignaturas te gustan y no te gustan?
Mi asignatura favorita es música porque me permite ser creativo, y me encanta eso. Por otro lado, desprecio geografía con pasión, dado que es super tediosa, y es básicamente ciencia.
My favorite subject is music because it allows me to be creative, and I love that. On the other hand, I passionately despise geography, as it is super tedious, and it’s basically science.
¿Qué asignaturas te gustaban cuando eras más pequeño?
Cuando era más pequeño me encantaba música por las mismas razones como ahora, y las matemáticas eran difíciles, sin embargo, me gustaban.
When I was younger I loved music for the same reasons as now, and math was difficult, however, I liked it.
¿Quién es tu profesor(a) favorito/a? ¿Por qué?/ Te gustan tus profesores? ¿Por qué?
Mi profesora favorita es obviamente Señora Kelly porque ella es muy simpática y me ayuda dado que es una profesora genial.
My favorite teacher is obviously Mrs. Kelly because she is very nice and helps me as she is a great teacher.
¿Qué piensas de las normas del insti? ¿Qué normas hay en tu instituto? ¿Crees que son justas?
A mi modo de ver, las reglas están fuera de orden. Tenemos que usar uniforme incómodo, un blazer y una corbata, y es caro, y no ayuda a los estudiantes a aprender. De hecho, hace que aprender más difícil.
In my opinion, the rules are out of order. We have to wear uncomfortable uniforms, a blazer and a tie, and it’s expensive, and it doesn’t help students learn. In fact, it makes learning harder.
