A
They are usually progressive and look to the future. They aim to support those who cannot support themselves

They value tradition, are about equity and survival of the fittest. They believe in economic freedom, and the freedom to succeed over equality.

What are two advantages of the first past the post system?
A
1) Quick decisions
2) Extremist parties won’t get elected as their candidates don’t usually get enough votes to win constituencies

What are two disadvantages of the FPTP system?
A
1) unfair on small parties
2) more total votes could go to a mix of parties other than the winning one
