Treatment of OD of theophylline

A
  • Repeat doses of activated charcoal
  • Ondaetseron for treatment of severe vomiting
  • IV infusion of potassium chloride to treat hypokalaemia
  • IV administration of lorazepam/diazepam to treat convulsions
  • Beta blockers for severe tachycardia, hyperglycaemia or hypokalaemia
