A
- Multiplier effect - lots of things have knock-on effects on others and reinforce

A
- 24 indicators - economic, social + political
- Advancements in technology make some indicators outdated e.g. international mail
- Trade flows dont include informal economy - cant accurately compare developing countries
- Choice and weighting of indicators = cultural bias

A
- 12 indicators - economic, technological, political + personal
- Small european countries top the list bc they have more interactions with EU (so higher FDI indicators)
- Only includes 62% countries - but most of world’s GDP and population
- Heavy weighting given to ICT connectivity so US have high score despite few treaties signed + low political engagement

- Outsourcing - some parts of operation done by other companies
- Offshoring - outsourcing overseas

E.g. London with Oligarchs and Poles - high skilled and low skilled jobs

- Exchange of ideas between different people as they mix/interact due to globalisation

- Loss of language, traditional food, music, clothes, social relations etc - loss of lifestyle

A
Large communities born outside the country they live in

What could cause tensions within diasporas?
A
- People who have been there longer vs new migrants
- Younger vs old generation - more open to change/likely to integrate
- Religious/political disputes (e.g. Sunni vs Shia)
