Q

driving ban vs driving suspension

A

ban = prohibited to drive
suspension = no longer have a license = can only drive a bicycle

19
Q

how are aquaplaning and rutting linked

A

where there is rutting there is a greater chance of aquaplaning and where there is aquaplaning there is a greater chance of rutting

20
Q

Ranking in traffic controlling mechanisms

A

Traffic controller instructions
Traffic lights
Traffic signs + priority signs
Traffic rules

21
Q

Traffic controller stop sign from the front

A

his left arm is out and he is facing you = traffic from the front (you) must stop everyone else can go

his right arm is out and he is facing you = only those coming from behind him must stop, you and those from the left and right can go

both arms are out = front and back traffic must stop, rest can go

22
Q

Traffic controller side on

A

right arm out and turned to his right = traffic coming from the right must stop, everyone else go

arm swiping down = reduce speed

23
Q

what is strictly prohibited on the motorway/autoweg
reversing, turning around, standing still with your car, walking by foot
26
difference between motorway and autoweg
motorway: - no oncoming traffic - no intersections/roundabouts - can have time restrictions for speeds - emergency lane - hectometre signs w/ letter A - vehicles longer than 7m cannot use leftmost lane autoweg: - find at intersections/roundabouts - oncoming traffic - short merging lanes - lack emergency lane
27
What type of lighting does a car have?
front fog lamp, rear fog lamp, reversing lights (white), low beam/dipped headlights (standard lighting, use all time), break lights (red), high beams (only at night when no one is around)

<750kg white plate (same as car) >750kg yellow plate (diff from car)
32
How long should you rest after 2 hours of driving
15 mins
32
Parking on the road
CANNOT PARK: 5m behind/infront of zebra crossing, bend, or intersection 12m from a bus stop
