What is average and how is it calculated?
A number that summarizes a set of data and that can be computed by adding all of the numbers in a list and then diving by the number of items in that list.
What is bacteria?
Tiny organism that are made of a single cell
What is change?
When something becomes different over time
What is collision?
The moment when two objects hit each other
What is energy?
The ability to make things move or change
What is equillibrium?
A balanced state in which a system is stable, such as when two or more samples are at the same temperat
What is groundwater?
Water that is underground
What does infer mean?
To reach a conclusion using evidence and reasoning
What is kinetic energy?
The energy that an object has because it is moving
What is matter?
Anything that has mass and takes up space
What is a molecule?
A group of atoms joined together in a particular way
What does pasteurize mean?
To make something safe to eat or drink by heating it
What is a sample?
A small part that is meant to show what the whole is like
What is stability?
When something stays mostly the same over time
What is a system?
A set of interacting parts forming a complex whole
What is temperature?
A measure of how hot or cold something is
What is thermal energy?
The total kinetic energy of all the molecules that make up a sample
What does does transfer mean?
To move from one object to another or one place to aonther
What is a water heater?
