Plays social tennis – previous Masters Level tennis champion – has been unable to play for the last year due to hip pain.

Walking aid, gait pattern and reasoning

Walking cane – forearm crutches are easier to go up and down stairs. More mobility when using them. If right elbow is painful, he can opt to using one crutch on his left if his pain on the right hip allows.

Physically fit as they used to play social tennis and cognition is fine for a cane.

Gait pattern – normal gait, using walking cane to support contralateral hip. Step through.
