A

-Suffolk fled after returning from a short exile, to the court of Emperor Maximillian
-For as long as Margaret opposed Henry, Suffolk was safe there

Why was Henry able to overcome the threat of the De La Pole brothers?

A

Treaty of Windsor 1506:
-Which led to friendly relations being restored
-Maximillian gave up Suffolk who was then imprisoned in the Tower of London
–> Suffolk was then executed for treason in 1513
-Richard was killed whilst fighting for France in the Battle of Pavia 1525
