Cat 3 single means?

A

Systems are fail passive, meaning a single failure will lead to an auto pilot disconnection. Manual flight is then required. Minimum decision height is 50ft.

A

Systems are fail-operational. If a single item fails, AP will continue the aircraft on the flight path and operate as fail passive. This redundancy allows cat 3 ops with or without DH
