VAULT
Falls on 1st vault & injury being assessed, once gymnast is standing, she has __time before the judge salutes for the next vault.
*If max time is exceeded, 2nd vault isn’t allowed.

45 seconds

Chief Judge must announce “20 sec remaining” at 25 sec & “10 sec remaining” at 35 sec; “Time” at 45 seconds.

UNEVEN BARS
When gymnast falls to floor, fall time begins
Must remount & resume her exercise in __ seconds

Reasonably short period of time is allowed to resume swing
If 2nd fall occurs, additional deduction of .50 is applied
If max time is exceeded, the exercise is terminated

*Time begins when she is standing up on her feet.

Timer calls 20 seconds remaining and 10 seconds remaining after fall
Time ends when gymnast remounts bars (leaves floor)

BALANCE BEAM–Timing Exercise

  • Begin when feet leave the board or mat
  • Stops when dismounts & arrives on mat
  • Warning is called 10 seconds before time limit
  • TIme is called at time limit
  • If lands at sound of TIME, no deduction
  • Deduction taken only if time is over by ONE SECOND or more
  • Entire exercise is evaluated & value part credit is awarded

*Beam routine time does NOT stop when gymnast falls on (but not off) the beam

Official beam routine time stops when she falls to the floor.
