Q

What happens when you touch the live wire

A

your body is at 0V so if you touch live wire, a large potential difference is produced across your body and a current flows through you and causes large electric shock

16
Q

Why does the national grid use high pd and low current

A

to transmit a hige amount of power needed you either need high pd or high current. but the problem with high current is that you lose loads of energy as wires heat up and is much cheaper to boost the pd up really high
