The periodic table is a way of organising chemical elements which is important because it makes it easy to find elements.

Describe how the periodic table is organised.
A
It is designed in order by an increasing atomic number. The horizontal rows are called periods and the vertical columns are called groups. Elements in the same group have similar chemical properties.
