turning in someone else’s work as your own
copying words or ideas from someone else without giving credit

how can most cases of plagerism be avoided?
Most cases of plagiarism can be avoided, however, by citing sources. Simply acknowledging that certain material has been borrowed and providing your audience with the information necessary to find that source is usually enough to prevent plagiarism
is it copyright to use images, videos or music?
Using an image, video or piece of music in a work you have produced without receiving proper permission or providing appropriate citation is plagiarism.

the two safest approaches to take in regards to these situations is: 1) Avoid them altogether or 2) Confirm the works’ usage permissions and cite them properly.
how can you prevent plagerism when planning your paper?
consult the instructor if you cannot find the answers online. you can also check the guidelines for citing sources properly. if you know you are going to use other sources of information, you need to plan how you are going to include them. you need a balance between your own ideas and the ideas of others. take effective notes which are organised and have sources will be useful. different colour pens for when ideas are your own and when ideas are others
how can you prevent plagerism when writing your paper?
when in doubt, cite your sources. you need to make it clear who said what so there needs to be no ambigueity in your phrasing which could disguise the real source of an idea. you need to know how to paraphrase .
how do you properly paraphrase?
You must change both the words and the sentence structure of the original, without changing the content. Also, you should keep in mind that paraphrased passages still require citation because the ideas came from another source, even though you are putting them in your own words.
how does citation stregthen your arguement?
showing that you are not just copying other ideas but are processing and adding to them,
lending outside support to the ideas that are completely yours, and
highlighting the originality of your ideas by making clear distinctions between them and ideas you have gotten elsewhere

design registration helps protect the appearance of a product, such as its shape or pattern. it makes it easier to prove that the design is legally yours and when you created.

it lasts for 5 years and you must renew your design registration every 5 years to keep it protected with a max of 25 years
