A

Spread by things like email. The user is invited to click on a link for some routine or interesting purpose, which then executes a program which may, for example, give the controller unauthorised access to that computer.

The context of information security means tricking or persuading individuals into revealing confidential or personal information ie. Passwords or bank details.

Phishing emails are designed to steal money, get login details, or steal identity. Inviting email to click on link. Asks you to enter data - bank details.
