What is the difference between vector and scalar quantities?
Vector have magnitude and a direction whereas scalor only have magnitude
What are some examples of vector quantities?
Force, velocity, displacement acceleration and momentum
What are some examples of scalar quantities?
Speed, distance, mass, temperature and time
What are the types of force?
Contact and non contact
What is a contact force?
When two objects have to be touching for a force of act
What is a non contact force?
When the objects do not need to be touching for the force to act
What are some examples of contact forces?
Friction, air resistance, tension and normal contact force
What are some examples of non contact forces?
magnetic force, gravitational force and electrostatic force
What is gravitational force
The force of attraction between masses
