Montreal is in the Saint Lawrence Lowlands physiographic region of Canada.
These lowlands are bordered by higher elevations – the Canadian Shield and the Appalachian Region.
If we focus in, Adamo lives in the Chateauguay River valley – with the Appalachian Mountains immediately to the South.

A GULLY is a ravine, trench or deep channel formed on land by the action of water.

drain, lower than surrounding area, look for CONTOUR LINES with HACHURE MARKS.
