A

-along with bauxite and energy it is one of the few growth sectors of Jamaica’s economy
-become a popular tourist destination due to the beaches, such as turtle beach, warm climate and cultural heritage
-has good air communications
-hub for cruise ships

A

-in 2018 tourism contributed to 34% of Jamaica’s GDP this amount is expected to rise in the future
-income from tourism is US$2 billion each year
-cruises bring people who spend money in Jamaica usually 70$ a day

A

-tourism is the main source of employment in Jamaica,providing 200,000 jobs directly and indirectly
-employment in tourism provides income which helps to further boost the economy
