10 marks question

A

An introduction in which you show understanding of the context of the question (why you have been asked it) and give your own view with a key reason for it.

  • You should aim to include at least two ideas other than your own, for and against the title statement.
  • Evidence and examples to support your argument.
  • Reference to philosophers and/or theologians and religious teachings, and use of their ideas wherever possible.
  • A conclusion that summarizes why your argument is the most persuasive.

  2. Analyse arguments by breaking them down and looking critically at the assumptions they make and the reasons they give.
  3. Evaluate between different viewpoints by weighing up the evidence and arguments on each side and ultimately expressing a viewpoint that you convincingly show you have good reasons to support
