Describe a phloem tube.

A

Phloem tubes are made of columns or elongated, living cells with small pores in the end walls to allow food substances to flow through.

Describe a xylem tube.

A

Xylem tubes are made f dead cells joined end to end with no end walls between them and a hole down the middle. They’re strengthened by a material called lignin and carry water and mineral ions from the roots to the stem and the leaves.
