Q

Write the function of RBC WBC and platelets

A

1) RBC- RBC (red blood cells) or erthocytes has hameoglobin (red protien) or pigment which binds with oxygen and transport it to all parts of the body.

2) WBC- WBS (white blood cells) or leukocytes are the soldiers of the body. They are involved in our immune system. They help fight us against diseases germs etc.

3) Platelets- Platelets or thrombocytes helps in clotting of blood whenever there is a wound or a cut.

Q

What are capillaries?

A

Capillaries are the thinest blood vessels in our body. They are the network of arteries and viens. The capillaries join up to form veins which empty into the heart. They are responsible for the exchange of gases, nutrients and waste products between the blood and surrounding tissues.

17
Q

What does sweat consists of?

A

Salts and Water

18
Q

Which effect is produces when we sweat?

A

Cooling effect

19
Q

What is excertion?

A

The removal of waste products produced by our body from the body is calles excretion.

20
Q

What is the role of kidneys, urters and urinary bladder?

A

1) Kidneys filter the blood and here urine is create which consists os water, urea and other waste products.

2) Ureters are the tube through which urine travels down and enters the urinary bladder.

3) The urine which had passed through ureters us stored into the urinary bladder until we are ready to remove it.

21
Q

What is xylem?

A

Xylem is a tissue which helps to transport water and minerals forming a one way traffic

22
Q

What is Phloem?

A

Phloem is also a tissue which helps to transport food prepared by plants to rest of the plant parts forming a two way traffic.

23
Q

What is transpiration?

A

Transpiration is the process through which plants losses water through tiny pores calles stomata. It helps to generate and upward pull or upward movement of water and get rid of excess water. It also produces a cooling effect on a plant
