Management of hyperkalaemia
A
- 10ml of 10% calcium chloride by slow IV injection. Dose repeated in 5-10 minutes if no improvement
- 5mg nebulised Salbutamol
- 10 units short-acting insulin e.g. Actrapid) with 100ml of 20% Dextrose IV over 5 mins. Doses can be repeated if no improvement
- Continuous cardiac monitoring
