What happens in long-established schistosomiasis infections?
Adult worms lay eggs causing inflammatory reactions and secrete proteolytic enzymes
What is the role of the proteolytic enzymes secreted by schistosoma eggs?
Help them migrate to the bladder and intestines

Two generations
What is produced after the sporocysts in the snail stage?
Cercariae
