Double covered
Happens when multiple flight attendants are assigned to one position. This happens because an error occurred somewhere.
When you come across a double covered pairing, you will need to research which of the flight attendants acquired the pairing first.
First Flight Attendant Options:
. Keep the original trip
. Fly a comparable trip from open time ( day for day)
. No fly, no pay.
If the first flight attendant chooses the keep the original trip, the second flight attendant has the options to:
. Fly a comparable trip from open time (day for day)
. No fly, no pay.
These options must be presented to the flight attendants by 1800 central the day prior to the check in of the trip.
Flight attendants can protest bid at 1900 central.
Charters
A charter is a flight that is not part of our regular schedule.
We operate different types of chapters: Military, Honor Flights, NCCA, etc. ( they will not always be sea cities.)
Cheater legs pay at double time.
It will have a CT leg code to reflect the charter leg and FS (food service) when applicable.
They are bid on by electronic means and awarded in seniority order. All unbid charters fall into open time at 1901 central the day prior.
Scheduling may only assign charters to a reserve three (3) hours prior to check- in.
Reserves can’t bid a charter.
Jetway Trades
Flight attendants can trade away their whole trip, or remaining portions of their trip, with a jetway trade.
When two flight attendants want to jetway trade, they must both contact scheduling.
Scheduling will check legalities before processing. Must have FAR legal rest and must also be with an FAT duty day.
Jetway trades will be a separate paring
We will only process if there is enough time to not cause a delay. For international flights, they need to be process 75 minutes prior to push.
Flight attendants have the ability to plan to do a jetway trade via CWA. It will put a JET non fly on their board. It does not hold duty and they still must call scheduling to process the trades.
Reserves can pick up, they have to be off out of open time.
Leg Code CT = charter leg
Only people who are can bid free of duty.
Can’t make any edits unless you call out sick.
