Q

FMGC S-FLPN Page
First step?
Where do you put the point for holding?
Where do you set the ring for the 3NM?
What and where do you insert there?
Which one do you choose?
What comes then? What do you do?
Where do you insert the hold?

Last thing is to insert the approach if we need to fly back to our departure airfield. How do we do that and why?

A

Copy active flight plan.

On the flight plan discounity in S-FLPN.

You go to F-PLN -> LIMC -> Fix info -> type in MMP which is the point after 3NM.

You choose that one with correct frequency, 113.35

Then you put the radius = 3NM (the outer ring means it’s time to turn. You set the radial to, 198 to get the line on ND.

Go back to S-Flight plan, Click IBSAP and press it -> Hold -> INBD course = 348, Turns = L

Because make it easier if we need to fly back. Go to S-FLPN -> PERF -> APPROACH -> Choose no STAR. Set everything like QNH, Minima, weather etc. Engine Out = highest MSA (10300), THR = elevation + 1000=1700 and ACC = Elevation + 3000 = 3700.
Flaps = 1/0.1DN (check this on the C/L on the EFB, insert the ZG and you get the value of trim.
