What are forces?
Forces are pushes or pulls between two objects.
What must a force produce?
A force must produce a push or pull onto something else.
Can forces be created by one object alone?
No, forces cannot be created by one object without another.
How are forces measured?
Forces are measured in Newtons (N).
What do force arrows represent?
Force arrows are drawn to show that forces act in opposite pairs.
What are contact forces?
Contact forces act between two objects that are physically touching.
What are non-contact forces?
Non-contact forces act between two objects that are not physically touching.
What is thrust?
Thrust is the force used to push things forward.
What is friction?
Friction is the force between two moving surfaces.
What is weight?
Weight is the force caused by gravity.
What is air resistance?
Air resistance is the force caused by something moving through a gas.
What happens when forces are balanced?
When forces are balanced, there is no change in the object.
What happens when forces are unbalanced?
When forces are unbalanced, there will be a change in the object.
What does a larger force do?
The larger the force, the faster the object will start to move.
