  • Competitive jobs, e.g. carpentry, 1/3 don’t have formal jobs, encourages people to have jobs elsewhere like black market

  • Rubbish is dumped on any open ground like drains + streets which clogs the system - 70 million tonnes of rubbish buried beneath dumps + pollute water supplies, this is because waste disposal systems is insufficient for large amounts of rubbish + lack infrastructure to deal with it
  • Worst smog levels worldwide - heavy fumes + emissions become trapped in mountain belt- 10,000 deaths annually due to poor air quality, thermal inversion prevents pollution from rising and our of the maintain belt during winter
