- The books of the New Testament continue the Old Testament’s revelation of God’s saving work in the world. Their focus is on Jesus Christ–the hoped-for Messiah, the saviour. Jesus Christ is revealed as God’s Son, being both fully human and fully divine.

In Jesus, God’s promises to Abraham, Moses, and David were fulfilled. In Jesus, a New Covenant is available to all people, not just the Jews. In Jesus lies the forgiveness of sins and a new life of love and freedom for anyone who believes.
