Proper posture
lean slightly forward
Let arms hang loosely from shoulders
Elbow slightly higher than keys
Bence must face keyboard squarely
Knees slightly under the keyboard
Feet flat on the floor
Curved fingers (four good reasons for playing with curved fingers)
When fingers are curved each fingers is the same length. Curved fingers bring the thumb into the correct playing position.
Keys respond instantly. Curved fingers make an arch possible for crossing over.

Bar line
bar lines that divide.
Measure:
a segment of time within a piece of music defined by a given number of beats.
Double bar line:
Two side-by-side vertical lines, indicating the end of one section and the beginning of another.

Whole note:
worth four beats of sound
Bass clef:
clef for left hand/lower hand notes
Grand staff
Treble and bass clef connecting by a brace bracket. Instructs the Musician to play both clefs at the same time
